Tips for traveling to Australia

Should you drive in Melbourne?
- If you are traveling around city centre, best to travel via the tram. i.e not recommended to rent a car due to the expensive parking and requirement to move your cars usually every 1-2 hours if you park in the streets. (Refer parking signs discussed below)
Note: There is free tram within the CBD zone.

Learn about "hook turn" as well. This is not common in other countries, and only applies in Melbourne (not Sydney).
Where to park in the city centre?
If you need to park your car within the city, consider taking advantages of "Early bird discounts"
i.e enter before 10am and exit after 2pm, before 8pm -> Average charge at $16/day
Note: usually parking at the road street after 7.30pm in CBD is free. Refer the parking signs link above. However, usually you will need to move your car before 7.30am the next day.

Philip Island - Penguin parade
- Please wear thick clothings, it is damn cold, especially if you're going for the Ultimate Tour -> this is near the beach thus, will be much colder than expected.
Note: It may not be as cold if you are doing the "Underground viewing"

B) Sydney
- Blue mountains hop on and off bus goes in a one-way direction. Hence, please plan your stops accordingly.
