Hong Kong 5 days 4 nights Trip April 2017

Note: Opinions expressed below are solely my own.

Day 1 Itinerary
Check in Silkaview Hotel

Hotel
Hotel is 10 square metre, which is small but expected since most accommodations in Hong Kong is small, unless you are ready to pay price range of RM500 above. It is not as new as images shown. Everything is clean except for the bed, which could be a better material.

How to go to the Hotel?
Take A21 Bus that takes about an hour. Costs HKD33. Then, get down at the 9th stop, "Man Ming Lane".

It's about 10minutes walk from there.

The hotel is just behind Temple Street.

Note: the hotel is just a 10minutes walk to Yau Ma Tei MTR Station.

Dinner at Sun Kee Cheese Noodle

This is the outside view from the main street.

Once you walk straight in, you will see this shop.

And beside it, this is the shop.

Clock Tower

Watch Symphony of Lights at Tsim Tsa Tsui Promenade

Note: there will be street performers at the tsim tsa tsui promenade, so you may enjoy the breeze and the music

Detail
Touch down 2pm.
Bought Octopus Card at Hong Kong Airport and reload HKD150 each (excluding HKD50 for deposit)
Note: If you return Octopus Card within 3 months of purchase, they will deduct HKD9. However, if you have plans on returning to Hong Kong, you can keep the card because there is no expiry date.

I have booked Silka Seaview Hotel at RM300/night.
Note: Pls google on credit cards to get discounts, for now, there is a 10% if you are a Digi User and book with Agoda.

Day 2 Itinerary

Lan Fong Yuen

Shop Main Entrance View

Noodles with chicken (MUST TRY!)

Pork Bun was good as well.

Next, try the egg tarts at Tai Cheong Bakery

Spent the day in Ocean Park.

Make sure to watch this show at night and the dolphin show at Ocean Theatre.

Next, have dinner at Tsim Chai Kee Noodle Shop (Central).

To be honest, the prawn wonton noodle (on the right) is the BEST. Fish ball noodle is not worth tasting.

If those are not your favourite, you can try Mak's Noodles, Tsui Wah, Yung Kei (roast duck) here if you want to eat.

After that, we went to Victoria Peak (costs about HKD60 to get on a taxi - metre based). You can take a tram up but there will be lots of ppl queuing to see the Symphony of Lights at 8pm from above.

Alternatively, you can take a bus up there, but I was rushing that time.

Amazing View and Breeze at the Peak.

Note: You have to pay HKD50/pax to go up the tower.
Of course, if you have bought your tickets to the tram and the Sky Terrace Entrance together, it would be cheaper.

Went to Madam Tussade's before but not really a big fan of it.

Refer here for further information on Sky Terrace opening hours and etc.

Day 3 Itinerary
Australian Dairy Company

Menu Get the HKD36 breakfast set.

Note: you need to add HKD2 for a cold drink.

The macaroni with ham is okay, but the scrambled egg and the milk pudding is the BEST!

Shopping at Sham Shui Po
Golden Computer Arcade (get your computer and IT items here)

Cheung Sha Wan Road (spend more time here if you love shopping, but go during weekdays during working hours as the shops DO NOT open for one whole day)

Eat at Tim Ho Wan Olympian 2

What I recommend to try is the pork bun.

Shopping at Ladies Market (ntg here, just A-Grade bags, belts, I love HK shirt and other souvenirs).

Night Market at Temple Street (which is just behind Silka Seaview)

Day 4 Itinerary
Kam Wah Bakery

Pork Bun and the Milk Tea was NOT good.

Pineapple Bun is worth trying.

Next, we travelled to Hong Kong Disneyland.

When you reached the Disneyland MTR, if you are staying in Disneyland Hotel, first, take a shuttle bus to the Disneyland Hotel and drop your bags there (it is FREE)

Note: If you store your bags at Disnesyland, it will cost HKD100/bag.

Tips
Rides worth trying is the Iron Man rides, but may be a little dizzy.

If there are a lot of ppl, pls check if there is FASTPASS machine available, it is FREE! like Winnie the Pooh, Iron Man, Space Museum.

How to get it? Scan your tickets, and get the FASTPASS tickets and come back on the state time.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WAITING.

Also, do not miss all the parades, it is just AMAZING.

If you want to take pictures with Disney Characters, first thing you do is go to the town hall and check when the Characters will come on the day.

They might ask you to check the App, but sometimes the HK Disneyland App is not up to date or gives wrong information. So just check at the counter.

(Note: Some characters don't come out, or they only come out for 1 session, which is 10.30am!)

If you are staying at the Disney Hollywood Hotel, at the Superior Room (i got a free upgrade due to online booking). Of course it is not cheap. It costs about HKD 2000/night but the room is TOP CLASS, considering I moved from Silka Seaview which is only 10sq metre in size.

Enjoy the hot tub bath.

Day 5 Itinerary
Disneyland halfday (I had a 2-day ticket)

After checking out, you can still keep your luggage at the Hotel and it is FREE.

Costs of taxi from Disneyland to HK Airport is about 30mins and costs about HKD150 and additional HKD5/bag.

Pls note that there is an additional fare charge effective 9/4/2017 by HK Government, thus, pls refer to the sheet to identify the correct charge.

It is my first time writing on my trip so, hope you enjoyed my humble experience and do leave comments for improvements! HAPPY HOLIDAYS! =)
